3:35pm Sunday 15 November 2009 - Recruitment Extra We live in a 24/7, always-on age, with a variety of instant electronic communications channels vying for our attention, combined with the pressure of “need it yesterday” deadlines. In this whirlwind of activity, it is understandable that many recruitment professionals don’t actually spend much time in front of their clients, but rather opt for the “efficiency” of email communication and the occasional phone call. Unfortunately, while well-intentioned, this approach is not conducive to establishing long-term client relationships that build and sustain business.
